THE INTERMOUNTAIN CATHOLIC 16TH JULY, 1904
Better to be a crystal and be broken
Than dull clay like a tile upon the roof;
Better to put thy courage, doubtful-hearted,
Unto the proof.
O in success there often lurks a failure
That feeds upon the soul in hidden shame.
And in defeat there sometimes rests a triumph
Greater than fame.
