Near the castle already described, but separated from it however by an inlet of the sea, are the ruins of another yet more ancient castle, denominated Dun Guariagh, which signifies “Guaire’s Stronghold.” (I have at present an ancient bottle which was found in a Submarine cellar in this Castle.
